This interactive webinar is designed to assist nursing faculty to be successful in the classroom and clinical areas when teaching pathophysiology. The webinar will demonstrate how to transform teaching with easy and memorable approaches using the “SAFETY” Model that links pathophysiology to priority concepts and NCLEX® standards. Mastering pathophysiology will assist students in making appropriate system-specific assessments (recognize cues) and analyzing where to start with planning nursing care. Faculty will learn how to focus teaching on the priority pathophysiology for medical surgical nursing concepts! While faculty will learn how to teach volumes of information, you will also have FUN and guide students to experience an increase in confidence and belief in their ability to be successful.
a. Explore the impact of novice, multigenerational learners, and neuroscience on concept mastery and clinical decision-making regarding pathophysiology.
b. Learn how to link concepts to multiple systems while incorporating pathophysiology and NCLEX® standards.
c. Demonstrate how to link pathophysiology to clinical decision-making.
d. Explore strategies that will assist in the student’s ability to deepen learning and master connections between pathophysiology and nursing care.
