This class prepares healthcare providers to effectively communicate in basic Spanish phrases. Participants will gain a primary understanding of the Spanish language, an overview of Spanish speaking cultures plus an introduction to basic pronunciation, the alphabet, grammar, and vocabulary for beginning medical conversations in Spanish. By the end of the seminar, participants will be able to verbalize basic Spanish salutations, perform a basic health assessment, and function with conversational medical phrases.
This session will cover completing a basic health assessment in Spanish and using the yes/no method and Spanish vocabulary to discuss time and locations.
