In this workshop, participants will examine best practices in teaching abilities to facilitate clinical judgment in nursing students. A review of the evidence is provided on which those practices are based. This session presents the elements of a great teacher including having the knowledge, clinical expertise, teaching skill, positive interactions, and personal characteristics necessary. Marilyn addresses using the NCSBN’s CJMM in using questions as prompts for clinical judgment and using short integrative cases and unfolding cases.
